...Our amazing life...

My photo
We met in June of 2007, dated for 7 months & got engaged - January 1, 2008. We were married on July 26, 2008 and welcomed our daughter, Kaitlynn Leane into the world on August 20, 2009. We said hello & goodbye to our precious son, baby Joshua on December 5, 2011. We are blessed knowing that we'll be with him again one day in Heaven. We also have two sweet beagles, Willa (4) and Sadie (1). God has truly blessed our family in numerous ways! We both have extremely wonderful and loving parents, plus amazing friends! We couldn't be any happier!

25th Birthday Weekend

This was a fabulous birthday weekend! Mark & Bridgette came to Atlanta Friday evening to spend the weekend with Kelly & I. Mark & I have always been with each other some how for every birthday! We have yet to experience a conflict that doesn't allow us to spend our birthday together. Very neat!

Friday night we stayed in & relaxed at home. Neither Mark, Bridgette, Kelly or I had seen 'Yes Man' so we rented that on On Demand - pretty funny! I, of course, fell asleep somewhere around 10:30 on the couch :) I never make it through a movie that late, especially after getting up at 5:00am that morning!

Saturday was a big day! I got up and made breakfast for everyone - we had sausage balls & cinnamon rolls!! Kelly, Mark, dad, and Chris left around 10:00am to play golf for the afternoon. Bridgette & I headed over to Angi's to drop Willa off for her play date with Makai. Bridgette was able to see Jackson for the first time and we spent some time catching up with Angi before she headed to Rome, GA. When we left, we headed to Polished Beauty Lounge for a pedicure!! I go to Polished about every 6 weeks and get their Barefoot at the Beach pedicure - it is so relaxing & amazing! Bridgette ended up getting my pedicure for me for my birthday so that was definitely a treat!! Kelly picked up Mark's golf tab for his birthday :) ANYWAYS - after our fabulous pedicure, we headed to Wal-Mart by Perimeter Mall where we found some VERY cute outfits for Kaitlynn & Elizabeth!! We also headed to Perimeter Mall to do some maternity shopping (my 1st time!!) and baby shopping for the upcoming girls :) We celebrated our stomach growth by enjoying some pretzel sticks from Auntie Ann's - the boys heard about this and were quite the jealous ones!! Our shopping trip was very successful! Here are some of the outfits we found for Kaitlynn and Elizabeth!! :) They need SOME matching outfits for pictures and such!

We headed back to Angi's to pick up Willa around 4:30, and then went home to relax before heading back out again for dinner & trivia at Vinings Grill. We had a great turn out - Chris & Angi, Kelly & I, Mark & Bridgette, Charles & Christy, Ginny & Zach, Vance & Janet, and Mrs. Erika :) It was a great crowd and wonderful food. I definitely enjoyed their queso dip, which ended up being my entire dinner!! I think I must have eaten the entire bowl - thanks Bridgette!

Sunday morning came and Kelly, Mark, Bridgette & I headed to Johnson Ferry around 8:30am for Sunday School & church! We had a great time and enjoyed having Mark & Bridgette join us!! We met dad & Zully for brunch at Vinings Grill :) It was amazing!! I had their french toast with powdered sugar, strawberries, & maple syrup! Pure bliss! We had a great time catching up with dad & Zully!

Sunday night came quickly - Kelly took me out to dinner to celebrate my birthday! I was in the mood for steak and really wanted to go to Hal's - they have the best steak in Atlanta! However, they are closed on Sundays :( So, Kelly & I did some research and chose a recommended place that we both had never been to! We ended up going to Ray's on the River - totally recommend going!! The experience was amazing and the food was wonderful! I had the Filet Mignon and Kelly had their Tuna! We were seated right at the window by the river so we were able to watch the sunset during dinner - thanks babe :) They also knew ahead of time that it was my birthday and we enjoyed a wonderful chocolate mouse pie on the house!! Chocolate mouse is definitely one of my favorites so it worked out absolutely perfect!! After dinner we walked along the river and took some pictures to remember our evening!

My birthday weekend wrapped up pretty quickly, but it was definitely a wonderful way to celebrate 25 years!!

Callaway Gardens

Kelly & I spent yesterday down in Pine Mountain at Callaway Gardens! Unfortunately, just about every weekend up until Kaitlynn arrives is booked with something: birthdays, baby showers, wedding shower, weddings, baby arrivals, visiting family, visiting friends, beach weekend with friends, spending time away for our anniversary!! You get the picture - we're quite busy and most of the time tired :) However, those of you who know me well - I am a planner and enjoy being with people!

Anyways - so we decided to take a day trip to Callaway Gardens yesterday to get away and spend some time together. It was absolutely gorgeous down there! Kelly & I walked several of the trails, went to the Butterfly Center where tons of butterflies were flying freely overhead. One actually landed on my head and matched my outfit! However, before Kelly could snap a picture, it flew away! We also went to a show - Birds of Prey. They had Hawks, Eagles, and Owls flying freely during the show. This show was outside - they were not strapped down or on a "leash." They would swarm over our heads - some people could even feel the animals fly over them! They would fly from pole to pole as instructed as the directors were telling us about them. Lastly, we enjoyed time in the Azeala Garden's and by the river/lake. It was absolutely gorgeous!

Kelly & I were exhausted after we left, but thoroughly enjoyed our time together at the Gardens. It's always nice to get away with him for even just a day and forget about reality sometimes :)

Pure Love

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart..."
Jeremiah 1:5 NIV

I laid on the couch last night for an hour while Kelly felt Kaitlynn kick and move around in my belly! It was one of the best moments because Kelly really could feel her last night. He would keep looking over at me and just simply smile and say "there's my girl!" I couldn't help but take in every minute of it - it was definitely a special hour out of our evening!

The only thing that comes to both of our minds.......as this miracle is forming, our baby Kaitlynn, how can you NOT believe in God??

Pure Love.

20 Weeks and Counting!!

Kelly & I with our two girls - Kaitlynn & Willa :)

Kelly & I are finally at the half way mark in our pregnancy!! We are 5 months or 20 weeks along! Kaitlynn is kicking more and more each day. It is also getting a lot more obvious as well. Kelly felt her again last night, but again, just faintly. I cannot wait for him to be able to feel her the way I do. She is definitely more active when I am wanting to lay down and relax. Go figure :)

After a long day at work, going to the gym, and taking care of things at the house - my body definitely has started aching a bit more! I feel great until about 7:00 or so at night! Kelly helps out a lot with everything and also trys to make me a little more comfortable.

With us being half way to our time of meeting Kaitlynn, things really are going great! We are just very ready to meet her and have her home with us!

Here are a few pictures from our 20 week mark!

Complete Chaos!

Kelly & I just went through a week of having people in and out of our house consistently! I was the lucky one to be at home because it was my spring break from school. However, I never realized how tiring and stressful having granite countertops and cabinets put in our kitchen, plus painting our entire house would be! I am very thankful that I had the time off to be at home and have everything accomplished in 5 days, but it definitely made me want to get back into a normal routine at work!

Things started off early Monday morning with the granite company coming by to tear out our white countertops and replace them with Caledonia Dark Granite. Kelly & I were very happy seeing the results when they left Monday afternoon! However, we new it would look much better once our cabinets were replaced :)

Tuesday was our only day of peace from constent noise and people coming in and out of our home. Wednesday we had the joy of having the cabinet workers and the plumber come out in the same day. It was interesting to watch three men work in the kitchen at the same time. Everyone knows the size of our kitchen :) It's not super small, but it's definitely a "condo" size kitchen!

As the plumber was working, he realized the undermount sink was too low for our drain - this resulted in him knocking a whole in our wall that would need to have sheet rock placed and sanded down. I was not a happy camper, however we went through with the large whole being cut out. Finally after a very long 8 hours, the plumber and our cabinet guys finally finished and left the house. The plumber left me with a large hole that would get fixed the following day in time for the painting company to come!

Thursday - I was completely kicked out of my house! Willa had a play date with her boyfriend Makai, while I had a doctor's appointment, lunch with dad, and a nice afternoon visit with Angi. The company got a good bit done from 8:00am to 8:00pm - yes 12 HOURS! However, they had to return the following day to finish up! Thankfully they had finished in the nursery which is where I resided all day Friday. I was able to get a lot accomplished being at home - I did some painting myself for Kaitlynn's room :)

Once Kelly & I had the chance to get things put back and in some type of order - we were very happy with the long, hard week of having our house renovated in 5 days. As of today, I am thankful we did everything last week - now we can enjoy our house and relax!

Kaitlynn's Nursery progression

Kelly & I have started working on Kaitlynn's room - here are some pictures of the progress:

Kaitlynn's Crib

Changing table

Rocking chair refinished by Kelly's Uncle Mike

Kaitlynn's Bassinet

And then there was paint! We had Kaitlynn's room painted
more of a neutral color instead of blue!

And then there was KICKING!!

I have been trying to see if Kelly can feel Kaitlynn kick yet, and finally he faintly felt her on Sunday night!! I have felt her kick a lot lately - more so when I am sitting or laying down. We were both so excited that he was able to feel her kick and cannot wait for it to get stronger!

Easter Weekend

We spent Easter weekend this year in Greenville visiting my side of the family!! It was wonderful seeing all the family and some very close friends! We had planned on leaving Friday night after seeing Chris Tomlin in concert at the Verizon Amphitheater here in Atlanta. However, our plans changed quickly as the multiple tornadoes and crazy thunderstorms quickly rolled into our area. We ended up leaving around 7:00am Saturday morning to make our drive to Greenville.

It started out on a great foot - I had my much needed hair appointment! Afterwards, my mom fixed lunch for me, Kelly, Mark & Bridgette! We headed to Spartanburg to see my grandparents, aunt & uncle. It's always good seeing them - we don't get to do that enough! Everyone seemed to be doing well! We also were able to visit with my other grandmother Saturday night! She made my favorite snack - cheese cookies. No matter how many times I attempt to fix them, her cheese cookies ALWAYS turn out better! It must be a grandmother thing!

We were also very lucky to meet up with Jeremy, Karen, and Maggie Moo for ice cream earlier in the day! It was wonderful being able to catch up with them and visit! I cannot believe how much Maggie has grown over the past 3 months! We are all ready for Kaitlynn to be here so she can eventually play with Maggie :)

Sunday was a wonderful day - we went to Edwards Road for Easter Sunday! We saw so many people that I usually don't see everytime we're in town. Everyone was curious to see if I had "popped" yet... or should we say it Kaitlynn had popped. HAHA - that term still makes me laugh! The service and time at ERBC was wonderful - I always do enjoy Easter sunday!

20 Weeks and Counting

Kelly & I went to the doctor last week and found out we were having a baby girl! We had already chosen 4 names - two boys & two girls, so picking which one was definitely an easy job. We both decided on Kaitlynn Leane Crawford. I gave up my middle name when we got married so I could keep my maiden name - Watson. I always loved and still love my "middle name," so we are going to give it to Kaitlynn.

The doctor told us we were right on track for our September 3 delivery date. We found out Kaitlynn weighs about 8 ounces & measures about 6 inches long. During the ultra sound we saw all of her bones, and her organs. It was definitely an emotional experience! I couldn't help but tear up and be filled with joy and excitement over the next several months to come. We cannot wait for Kaitlynn to be here and become part of our family. Willa is definitely ready for a baby sister :)

The doctor did not get all the pictures she wanted of her heart so we get to go back for another ultra sound on May 7th!! I am definitely looking forward to seeing our baby girl again in 3 weeks!
