...Our amazing life...

My photo
We met in June of 2007, dated for 7 months & got engaged - January 1, 2008. We were married on July 26, 2008 and welcomed our daughter, Kaitlynn Leane into the world on August 20, 2009. We said hello & goodbye to our precious son, baby Joshua on December 5, 2011. We are blessed knowing that we'll be with him again one day in Heaven. We also have two sweet beagles, Willa (4) and Sadie (1). God has truly blessed our family in numerous ways! We both have extremely wonderful and loving parents, plus amazing friends! We couldn't be any happier!

Our Last Week in our Condo!

This week was pretty sentimental for us as it was our last week in the condo. Even though we're moving into our "first" home, our condo will always have special memories - it's where we started our lives together after our wedding day, and had our first child.

Boxes were everywhere.......
Playtime in the midst of all the chaos!
Enjoying the last few days in our condo!

Kaitlynn hung onto her ugly cold during this last week, which made things interesting. Her naps were very different, her feedings improved - but still not 6oz. She is still working on pushing her top middle teeth through. Hopefully she'll get some rest from teething after her 5th & 6th one pop through. In our personal opinion..... Kaitlynn is going to go from sitting, to scooting, to standing & walking. We really believe she's going to completely skip over crawling. She hates her tummy and has so much fun siting up & standing with our help.

The movers showed up Thursday around lunch time & did an excellent job packing up our condo and getting it moved to our storage unit. Kelly & I were both pretty worn out - he had to deal with the movers, while I spent my afternoon driving to Greenville with Kaitlynn & Willa. Thankfully things ended well on Friday morning with the closing! We're officially non-home owners until our closing on the new home April 21st. I am beyond excited - this is the first home we have bought together and it's absolutely perfect!! :o)

Playtime at Nana Watson's house!

Kelly made it to Greenville Friday night after Kaitlynn went down for bed. Traffic from Atlanta to Greenville up 85-North is horrendous on Fridays after work! Normally whenever we drove in on a Friday night we'd leave around 7:30pm (before Kaitlynn). Kelly, however, left after work around 5:30pm during rush hour traffic - yuck! With lots of quality time with Kelly & Kaitlynn on Saturday, we did manage to sneak out during her morning nap and head to various furniture stores. With time closing in on us, we're really having to get serious with colors, styles, and ideas of things we want for our home! Big news..... Kaitlynn's 5th tooth broke through the surface today as well! She now has 3 teeth up top and is working on her 4th one up top. This weekend was absolutely relaxing - something we haven't had in a while. I was quite lucky - Kelly stayed in Greenville with me & Kaitlynn until Monday morning :o) I have one sweet husband!

Kaitlynn loves being outside!
It was such a beautiful day on Saturday!
Willa loves being able to run free in the fenced-in backyard!
She's been outside a lot ever since we've been in Greenville!

This was Kaitlynn's first visit to ERBC!

More Teeth Already?!

Kelly and I feel like experts when it comes to teething in babies. Around 5 months, Kaitlynn got her first two bottom teeth - pretty easy except for the night they broke through the gums. Our second experience was about 2 weeks later and lasted about a month. However, it wasn't her top middle teeth that broke through, it was the two teeth next to the middle ones :-) Now.... since those have broken through and peace showed up in our home for a few days, her two middle teeth have started pushing towards the surface. Good grief!

With this being one of the last full weeks living in our condo, we did what most would do - we spent as much time AWAY from the condo as possible. If you could imagine having only your sofa as the only "normal" space in your home, then you'll begin to understand the insanity that is occuring in these last few days. Everywhere we look - boxes...... We've enjoyed eating out everyday for lunch, which never happens! We've spent a lot of time doing last minute packing, taking walks, running errands, and canceling utilities. Busy, busy, busy!

"Like my new sun hat??"

Today, Kaitlynn gets to celebrate her first St. Patty's Day! What started off as a bummer - a sick visit to the PED this morning - ended up being an overall, pretty good day. Since we're so close to her 7-month mark, the stats were:
15 lbs. 5 oz.
26 in. long
The best part - Kaitlynn has started using syllables! Her favorite thing to say is "ba ba ba ba," "da da da da," or a combination "ba ba da da ba." It's absolutely precious! St. Patty's Day has always been one of my favorite holidays - not exactly sure why, but I have always loved it! When I was still living with my mom, she would always decorate my room to the "t" for St. Patty's Day :-) I got the privilege of decorating Kaitlynn's room for the first time! My mom took some time and cut out little green feet for me to use and gave them to me a few months ago - check out some pictures!

Happy St. Patty's Day!
Willa wasn't too sure what to make of the green feet :o)

This weekend was as relaxing as we could make it. First of all, on Saturday March 20th, Kaitlynn turned 7 months old. It seems absolutely surreal that we have a 7-month old! We finished up packing our last minute items and decided to eat out our last 4 days in the condo! However, we did take some time out on Saturday and head over to Portrait Innovations for our Easter pictures this year! On top of everything going on this weekend, we did make our weekly trip up to our new house to check on things!!

Updates on the house......
When we stopped by our house yesterday, we didn't see BIG changes like before, but this past week the workers worked mostly on fixtures in the kitchen & bathrooms, appliances, etc. Check out just a few pictures:
Double oven is in! Knobs are on all cabinets :o)
Couldn't resist.... I absolutely love our fireplace in the family room!

Baby steps lead to big decisions!

With the closing on our condo approaching very quickly, Kelly and I have finally made some decisions on our "temp." home for 4 weeks. I will be taking Kaitlynn & Willa to Greenville - we'll be staying with my mom, and Kelly will be bouncing around and staying with various people during the work week. Thankfully, all of us will be able to spend the weekends together in Greenville, Atlanta, and Hayesville! It'll be tough not being together during the week, but these 4 weeks of transition will be well worth it once we're moved into our new home!

With that being said..... I spent a lot of time on the phone getting quotes on moving companies, etc., Kaitlynn-Willa-and myself spent a lot of time outside Monday & Tuesday before the rain settled in, and the remainder of the week was spent inside packing & running much needed errands!

My mom came into town Friday morning to spend the weekend with us! We spent some time up at the new house looking around at the changes that have been made over this past week! Also, she stayed at our condo with Kaitlynn and Willa Friday night-Saturday afternoon while Kelly & I got away for the night for some much needed time away together! It was wonderful! Once we made it home, my brother - Mark & his wife, Bridgette came by the house with Elizabeth.

Updates: porch columns & shutters have been added!

Kitchen cabinets are in! Waiting on the granite :-)

My favorite part - the stone fireplace in the family room

Our gorgeous bathroom - the best part.... a double-head shower :-)

Trying to keep Kaitlynn up after the trip up to the house......

Heading out for our 1st night away! We spent the evening dining at BluePointe in Buckhead, dancing the night away & enjoying a quiet nights sleep at the InterContinental Hotel in Buckhead - before our amazing breakfast & marriage conference with Barrett & Jenifer Johnson. We had a great time and we're looking forward to our next getaway in the very near future :-)

BFF's
Just realized - in 2 days, Elizabeth will be 8 months & in 5 days Kaitlynn will be 7 months!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

All of our family from both sides came into town Saturday evening - everyone staying at various places! We participated in the parent dedication at our church on Sunday morning. Ever since Kelly and I met, dated, & were married, one of our biggest agreements was how we'd want to raise our children. Our main concern was to raise our children in a godly home. When the dedication services came around for spring, we jumped in and signed up pretty quick! The service was very memorable for both of us and our families as well. We're so blessed to have wonderful christian parents as great examples in our lives as we grow as adults & parents ourselves. We're quite lucky to have loving siblings, and precious nieces & nephews as well :-)

The day we dedicated Kaitlynn to the Lord.

Kaitlynn's four grandparents came for this special occasion
Grandpa Watson & Nana, Papa & Nana Crawford

Mark, Bridgette & Elizabeth were able to come in for the weekend as well. We really missed David, Bonnie & Troy! However, Bonnie is due in 2 months so traveling is over these days :-)

All of Kelly's siblings came as well!

as well as our nieces - Madison & Morgan

Pastor Bryant Wright & his wife Anne Wright
Kaitlynn's life verse from Jeremiah 1:5
"Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you.
Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you:
A prophet to the nations— that's what I had in mind for you."

And.....those that were able to come to lunch at Atkins Park Tavern:
