...Our amazing life...

My photo
We met in June of 2007, dated for 7 months & got engaged - January 1, 2008. We were married on July 26, 2008 and welcomed our daughter, Kaitlynn Leane into the world on August 20, 2009. We said hello & goodbye to our precious son, baby Joshua on December 5, 2011. We are blessed knowing that we'll be with him again one day in Heaven. We also have two sweet beagles, Willa (4) and Sadie (1). God has truly blessed our family in numerous ways! We both have extremely wonderful and loving parents, plus amazing friends! We couldn't be any happier!

Transition Week 1 - Warning: LOTS of pictures!!

Kelly headed out early last Monday morning to make his drive back to Atlanta. I hated watching him leave and knowing it would be 5 days before Kaitlynn or myself spent quality time with him again. I was very thankful though that he stayed an extra night with us in Greenville!

Kaitlynn and I tried to keep ourselves busy this week while my mom worked 10:30am-9:30pm every day! We stopped by and saw my mom at work on Monday, and did some Easter shopping.... spent some time in Spartanburg with my grandparents on Tuesday.... headed to see Bonnie and Troy in Charlotte on Wednesday..... spent some time with my grandmother June on Thursday & had a shopping trip to Old Navy..... and drove to Atlanta Friday morning for a long weekend with Kelly!! Whew.... lots of naps for Kaitlynn in the car - unfortunately, the trips this week were also during some massive teething sessions - A.K.A. - no naps in the car!! We managed though :o)

Visiting Nana at work, and a shopping trip to Haywood Mall

Our weekend together was perfect. The time we had as a family was priceless. With so much going on this past month, we lost focus of spending down time together. However, our 1st week a part quickly reminded us how much we missed being together. Kelly got off work early on Friday (12:00pm) so we spent all day together! We did some more furniture shopping, stopped by to see the house & its progress, and headed to Johnson Ferry for the Easter service at 8:15am. We missed our families tremendously, but enjoyed our time together in Atlanta with all the transitions going on right now!

Kaitlynn's first Easter Lilly!
Kaitlynn's first Japanese Steakhouse experience! She loved it :o)
Kaitlynn had LOTS of daddy time this weekend!!!
Happy Easter!
Our beautiful daughter!
Yes, the Easter bunny did come & see Kaitlynn :o)

A few new things on Kaitlynn.....
*She is definitely moving right along with sitting. She will sit on her own between our legs now! She's growing up :o)

*Still absolutely no signs of Kaitlynn being a crawler. I stand by my opinion that she'll sit, scoot, stand & walk!

*We have officially switched her to stage 2 food. Most 7-month old babies are on stage 2 food, and she was showing interest in having more solid food so we made the switch! 2.5oz of food to 3.5 oz.

*She is doing GREAT with her bottles. She is taking 4-6 oz. every 4 hours. During the day she usually hits around 5-6 oz.

*Kelly and I tried stopping Kaitlynn's 1:00-3:00am bottle..... that was the longest two nights in the past 6 months! We decided to still feed her if she woke up, but only 3-4 oz. of formula so that it didn't affect her breakfast feeding. She's doing great - she's been sleeping until 5:00am-6:00am before waking up and some nights she hasn't woken up at all until 7:00am! We're getting there :o)

*After staying at Chris & Angi's house over Easter & using their video monitor with Kaitlynn, we learned that she loves to sleep on her side & she never lets go of her bunny blanket :o)

A few new pictures of the house:

A few pictures of some things we've bought for the house! We wanted our bedroom, the family room & kitchen completely furnished when we moved in. Here are some pictures!
Our bedroom furniture from Ashley Furniture - black w/ marble tops
(picture doesn't do half it's justice! this furniture is gorgeous!!)

Our coffee table & end table. We also purchased the sofa table, but it looks the same - just tall and long :o) We got this set at American Signature Furniture.

Kitchen rug for our awesome countertop height kitchen table - seats 8

Our family room rug. Our sofa (not pictured) is from Rooms To Go - we went with two beige sofas as seen in the model home for the Somerset (our floor plan).
