...Our amazing life...

My photo
We met in June of 2007, dated for 7 months & got engaged - January 1, 2008. We were married on July 26, 2008 and welcomed our daughter, Kaitlynn Leane into the world on August 20, 2009. We said hello & goodbye to our precious son, baby Joshua on December 5, 2011. We are blessed knowing that we'll be with him again one day in Heaven. We also have two sweet beagles, Willa (4) and Sadie (1). God has truly blessed our family in numerous ways! We both have extremely wonderful and loving parents, plus amazing friends! We couldn't be any happier!

Hello June?!

Where did the last 6 months go?? How is it already June?! The last time I checked, we were celebrating Christmas with Kaitlynn for the first time, and she was getting her first tooth..... now it's June, she's almost a 1-year old, and has 8 teeth! Well.... 7 to be honest, but the 8th is coming through this week.

Thankfully we have a daughter that absolutely loves anything to do with the water. She has always enjoyed bath time, and really likes going to our neighborhood pool. This week was a big first for us - we started Kaitlynn's swim lessons at Aqua-Tots. She is in Level 1 (0-18 months). I was a bit hesitant at first, but as soon as I saw how much fun Kaitlynn was having during the lesson, the fears went away. However, after her first month - we're learning to submerge them into the water. We'll see how I handle that :o)

A little verbal look into Kaitlynn's swim lesson........
*Playtime in the water
*Songs are always used with certain skills
*Learning to get out of the pool
*Learning to get into the pool
*Floating on back with a portion of her head in the water
*Learning to crawl out of the pool using the steps

Waiting on Kaitlynn's first swim lesson!

Kaitlynn is already the perfect student at 9.5 months old!

Kelly and I spent a lot of time outside this weekend between planting 8 new trees, knock-out rose bushes, and taking Kaitlynn to our neighborhood pool party! I'm not too sure if you remember, but in our backyard we had 6 white pine trees - AKA - not too great or pretty for our backyard! My dad brought some volunteers by and got the pine trees to use on Friday, and then our trees were delivered Saturday morning. We chose 5 Cryptomeria (Evergreen trees), 2Crate Myrtles (white & lavender), and 1 Japanese Red Maple. Needless to say, Kelly was very anxious about planting them so during Kaitlynn's morning nap on Saturday we got our two crate myrtles planted! We spent some time at our neighborhood pool party Saturday afternoon, and relaxed around the house on Sunday!
